GUCCI PRE-FALL 2025: REFINING RETRO CHIC

Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection bridges the brand’s iconic retro heritage with a refined, modern minimalism. Focusing on rich jewel tones and monochromatic palettes, the collection features subtle hints of the house’s signature maximalism through textured fabrics and bold patterns.

In an Instagram post, Creative Director Sabato De Sarno expressed his inspiration: “Exploring the essence of the 1970s, breathing new life into Gucci’s codes through a rich visual language.” This 1970s influence shines in floral headscarves, pussy bow blouses, vibrantly hued coordinated sets, and luxurious outerwear. Yet, De Sarno adopts a more restrained approach compared to his predecessor Alessandro Michele, introducing understated designs suitable for professional settings.

One standout example is a mint green ensemble: a solid cardigan embossed with the Gucci logo, paired with a matching polo and checked trousers. Similarly, a taupe double-breasted suit styled with a simple green tie exemplifies a minimalist aesthetic.

Moments of vibrant flair are present in bolder pieces, such as an emerald green twill jacket adorned with floral and paisley patterns, styled with mini-shorts and loafers. Women’s looks feature a lilac coat paired with a mini dress and green leather boots, alongside a purple suit elevated by chunky gold accessories.

Accessories play a significant role, with classic monogram handbags featuring Gucci’s red-and-green accents and golden G hardware. Fur pieces add an additional layer of luxury, including a yellow fur coat, a chevron-patterned brown-and-black fur jacket, and a green leather flight jacket with a sherpa collar.
