DRAKE SHATTERS STREAMING RECORDS WITH SURPRISE TRIPLE ALBUM DROP

Drake has once again reshaped the global music landscape after releasing three surprise albums simultaneously — ICEMAN, Maid of Honour, and Habibti. The unexpected drop instantly dominated streaming platforms and set multiple new Spotify records within 24 hours.
According to Spotify data, Drake became the most-streamed artist in a single day in 2026, reaching a combined total of 197 million global streams across all three projects. The standout release, ICEMAN, led the charge with 140.2 million streams, making it the biggest album debut of the year so far.
The remaining projects also delivered strong numbers, with Maid of Honour earning 29.1 million streams and Habibti reaching 27.7 million on its first day.
Individual tracks also made history. The ICEMAN opener “Make Them Cry” debuted at No. 1 globally on Spotify with 13.219 million streams in a single day, while also topping the U.S. chart with nearly 6 million streams.
The track’s performance reportedly helped break the record for the biggest single-day streaming total for a hip-hop song, previously held by Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
With all three albums simultaneously charting at high positions, Drake’s latest release cycle has reinforced his dominance in streaming culture and marked one of the most significant music events of 2026 so far.
