TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET AND MARTIN SCORSESE UNITE FOR BLEU DE CHANEL CAMPAIGN FILM

Timothée Chalamet and Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated Chanel campaign film has just been released. Fans may remember the buzz in early 2023 when paparazzi captured the duo filming on the streets of New York City. The project was for Chanel’s iconic men’s fragrance, Bleu De Chanel, and the resulting commercial is now available for viewing.
Back in October, an exclusive behind-the-scenes film revealed Scorsese’s thoughts on working with Chalamet and explored the theme of “the conflict between celebrity and staying true to being an artist.” This new campaign marks Scorsese’s return to Chanel after directing the first Bleu de Chanel campaign in 2010 and represents his first collaboration with Chalamet.

The film features a script reflecting contemporary life, with Chalamet portraying a hyperbolic version of himself. Scenes include a late-night TV appearance and returning to a New York City skyscraper, all set to Herbie Hancock’s 1983 hit “Rockit.” Shot in striking black and white with bursts of electric blue, the commercial depicts Chalamet’s quest for authenticity in a deceptive world, encapsulating the fragrance’s tagline: “Find your blue, find yourself.”
