PUMA AND LOST MANAGEMENT CITIES REVIVE ‘80S TENNIS STYLE WITH NOSTALGIC NEW GV SPECIAL
PUMA has partnered with Korean brand Lost Management Cities (LMC) to bring a playful twist to the iconic GV Special sneaker. The latest rendition, inspired by LMC’s appreciation for classic sportswear, features a nostalgic colorway blending blue and cream tones. This design is elevated with hand-finished details, including raw fabric edges and zig-zag stitching on the upper.
The collaboration prominently showcases both brands’ logos, with PUMA and LMC sharing placement on the tongue and heel. A unique Lost Management Cities tab is also affixed to the PUMA Formstrip, adding a distinctive touch. Completing the look is a gum sole that contrasts with the light-colored upper, enhancing the vintage aesthetic.
The GV Special’s history traces back to the 1980s when it was originally launched as the PUMA California. Known for its versatility on both indoor and outdoor courts, the silhouette was later renamed the GV Special in tribute to Argentinian Grand Slam champion Guillermo Vilas, who was a notable advocate of the shoe during his peak.
This release is just the beginning of the collaboration between PUMA and Lost Management Cities. Later in the year, the partnership will expand to include a full apparel collection, further merging their distinct styles.
The PUMA GV Special x Lost Management Cities sneaker is available starting May 25, 2024, at selected retailers worldwide.
