Comme des Garçons is renowned for its avant-garde approach to footwear, having collaborated with major brands and even producing standout pieces within its own Homme line. This season, they’ve teamed up with Salomon to infuse their SR811 platform with a vibrant, fauvist-inspired twist.

Unveiled during the CDG womenswear show last summer, these shoes immediately captured attention for their enigmatic design. Adorned with colorful geometric patterns spanning the entire spectrum of the color wheel, the SR811 boasts a chunky, elevated sole and a striking contrast in width between the upper and lower sections. Adding subtle branding touches, Salomon discreetly integrates their logo on the heel in a camouflaged manner, though it may require a keen eye to spot in photographs. Transparent lace locks serve to accentuate the triangular patterns, while the choice of white laces provides a touch of balance amidst the extravagant design.

Available now on Dover Street Market’s website, the Comme des Garçons x Salomon SR811s come with a hefty price tag, retailing for over $1,000 USD per pair.
