BALENCIAGA UNVEILS UNDER ARMOUR COLLAB
Following its highly-anticipated Spring 2025 runway show on Thursday, the Spanish luxury house Balenciaga has kicked off its sportswear partnership with Under Armour, introducing a full range of co-branded gear available online. This collaboration was first hinted at on Wednesday when Balenciaga posted an image of a distinct “UA”-shaped earring on Instagram, sparking curiosity and excitement among fashion enthusiasts. The partnership was confirmed during the brand’s next-season collection reveal on a rain-soaked runway in Shanghai, showcasing a variety of joint pieces including branded belts, performance outerwear, workout tights, and track pants.
However, what was shown on the runway differs from what is currently available on Balenciaga’s website. The initial six-piece range appears to be a precursor to the more elaborate items displayed during the fashion show. This first installment includes loungewear pieces such as hoodies, T-shirts, sweatpants, and shorts.
Among the standout pieces, a $1,450 USD zip-up hoodie available in red and black features a regular fit with a simple co-branded logo on the chest. The collection also includes a $795 USD oversized T-shirt, baggy grey fleece shorts priced at $1,150 USD, and $1,290 USD sweatpants with a roomy fit. Additionally, branded caps and socks are listed for $475 USD and $150 USD, respectively.
While the success of this partnership remains to be seen, the initial release of Balenciaga’s Under Armour collaboration is now available for purchase on the brand’s webstore.
