DIOR MEN SPRING 2025 COLLECTION: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN CRAFTSMANSHIP AND HERITAGE
Designed by Kim Jones, the Dior Men Spring 2025 collection merges practicality, longevity, and a reimagined legacy. Drawing inspiration from Hylton Nel’s artworks, the artistic director weaves strong creative dialogues at the intersection of craftsmanship and couture. Sculptural pieces with irresistible appeal borrow lines and finishes from the language of ceramics. Pieter Hugo’s captivating photography illuminates this extraordinary fusion of perfection and style. Models pose on colorful pedestals, surrounded by lush greenery and reinterpretations of Hylton Nel’s symbolic cats. Silhouettes that embody the South African artist’s aesthetic emerge through joyful motifs and prints evoking his distinctive universe.
Dominated by rounded volumes, the collection revisits classic workwear symbols like the apron, redefined with a delicate belt. Accessories embody the meeting of beauty and functionality, as seen in the Dior Normandie bag, crafted from veined leather and poised to become the ultimate daily essential. Meanwhile, the iconic Saddle bag continues its evolution. Dior’s ateliers showcase virtuoso-level craftsmanship, particularly in B35 NXXT sneakers and boots, presented in suede or raffia, as well as clogs transformed into classic footwear. The collection also nods to Yves Saint Laurent’s “Négatif” Fall-Winter 1960-61 collection, with an innovative scarf placed at the back of the model’s collar in campaign images. Like a mesmerizing Ariadne’s thread, this unique material accompanies the brooches on jackets and coats. Bucket hats inject an extra dose of audacity into every look.
Honoring tradition, modernity, and passion in a pluralistic tribute, the Dior Men Spring 2025 collection awaits discovery in Dior boutiques.
