DIESEL SS26: GLENN MARTENS TURNED MILAN INTO A FASHION GAME
At Milan Fashion Week, Diesel revealed its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in a spectacular, city-wide “Easter egg-hunt.” Creative director Glenn Martens transformed Milan into a fashion playground, placing models inside giant transparent eggs across 18 locations, from churches to clubs. Each egg came with a QR code, inviting the public to discover the collection in real time, proving Martens’ statement: “Everybody gets to be on the front row.”
The show’s central stage at Piazza Beccaria featured live music and entertainment, while at Diesel’s new headquarters, models walked over a monumental pile of discarded clothes, reinforcing themes of upcycling and raw beauty.
The SS26 lineup embodies Diesel’s rebellious spirit: deconstructed silhouettes, distressed finishes, and bold material innovations. Martens showcased satin denim crafted from recycled polyester, lasered for a worn-in look, and “X-ray” bleached denim that exposes the inner structure of garments. Pieces ranged from biker jackets with exploding straps to leather skirts with raw, hide-like edges, trompe l’oeil knit jumpsuits, and shredded chiffon dresses—each garment designed as a puzzle to be unraveled.
With 55 looks across the city, Diesel’s SS26 collection proved to be a powerful statement on fashion’s accessibility, creativity, and playful irreverence.
