Converse and Rick Owens reunite to introduce the DRKSHDW ONESTR, a bold reinterpretation of the iconic Converse One Star inspired by a spirit of rebellion. Known for his avant-garde vision and fearless approach to fashion, Rick Owens infuses the classic silhouette with his distinct design language.

The ONESTR stands out with exaggerated proportions such as an extended tongue, an expanded sole unit, and a thick lateral band that enhances the shoe’s sculptural presence. A premium hairy leather upper adds depth and rich texture, while the CX foam midsole delivers all-day cushioning and comfort. Signature elements—including the spiral woven label, sawtooth outsole and molded rubber heel—bring together the unmistakable aesthetic of the Converse x DRKSHDW collaboration.

The campaign comes to life with interdisciplinary artist and renowned ballroom commentator Precious Ebony. Rick Owens recalls their first encounter:
“Eight years ago, I saw Precious Ebony MC’ing at a Voguing Ball in Paris. I later invited her to perform at the after-party of my retrospective at the Triennale in Milan. That night, she rose above the crowd on a slow-moving crane platform, performing acapella to the brutalist rhythms of Ryoji Ikeda. Dressed in white, tossing her long hair and moving beautifully, she was rebellious and mesmerizing. It was one of the most magnificent nights of my life.”
