CJ HENDRY UNVEILS “KEFF JOONS”: A PLAYFUL HOMAGE TO JEFF KOONS’ BALLOON ICONS
This spring, acclaimed Australian artist CJ Hendry returns with her latest immersive installation: Keff Joons. Inspired by Jeff Koons’ iconic balloon animals, Hendry delivers a cheeky, exaggerated spin on the classic form — replacing structure with chaos, and elegance with absurdity.
“Balloons are so simple, yet so emotionally charged. They make us feel joy, nostalgia, and a sense of fragility. Keff Joons is my silly little tribute to that — a balance between lightness and impermanence, seen through the lens of Jeff Koons. Let’s just say I’m leaving the real art to the pros!” says Hendry.
